Lytton Chinese History Museum

The Lytton Chinese History Museum will collect, preserve and display artifacts and photos with the goal of encouraging a greater interest in, and understanding of, the experiences, hardships, and contributions made in BC’s Interior by thousands of Chinese miners, railway workers, merchants and farmers.

Surprising and awesome historical museum in the tiny village of Lytton! You learn a lot about the history of Chinese migrants and their role in the railways construction. The lady who dedicated her retirement to build this museum is charming and a priceless source of knowledge...

Excellent Museum - What a great exhibit documenting the history of the Chinese in the Fraser Canyon area generally and Lytton specifically. It is obvious that a great deal of thought has gone in to sharing this important story with visitors and locals. The artifacts are interesting, as is the story of the Chinese population in the community and their important contributions.
